Whenever their game is discussed in the national media, the self-important snobbery swells like a passenger’s-side airbag. Women’s basketball is another hindrance, clogging up the airwaves. It’s not cool to like it. Anybody who does like it gets mocked by colleagues. Hence, most discussion comes with a qualifier that it’s hopeless, boring and forever rendered to page seven.”
